We are only 8km from the historic town of Luçon, once the home of Cardinal Richelieu who was Bishop of Luçon from 1606 - 1623, and who commissioned the imposing cathedral in the town centre. Surrounding the cathedral there are many bars, cafés and shops. There are also lots of restaurants, some with al fresco dining, and in the summer months Luçon holds many musical evenings and summer fayres. There is also a bustling market twice a week, selling local foods, wines and honey.
