Our 3rd visit to L’Ecurie! A great place to stay for a short break to go for lunches - lots of lovely restaurants in the area - St Georges (St Juire Champgillon) and Court d’Aron (St Cyr en Talmondais) to name a few. Also to restock on the lovely Vendeen wine - a good distributer in Mareuil sur Lay. Thanks Annette & Jason - we will return.

Restful week with friends living apart. Facilities excellent, when weather not so good made use of the gym & games room. Loved the ‘hide’ - especially seeing the coypu in their natural habitat. Enjoyed Luçon and La Rochelle & a good walk along the canals.

Superbe séjour, propriétaire très sympathique et souriante. Notre passage a été très agréable et nous avons trouvé toutes les activités pour l’ensemble de la famille - le jardin, les salles de jeux et de sport et les visites. Je le recommande chaudement.

What a lovely location, fantastic view and superb hosts!
Thank you so much for a friendly, comfortable and relaxing stay! Our daughter has loved running around the grounds and playing with the toys etc.. Every morning she has woken asking “can we go outside?” I think that is testament to the beautiful surroundings.

Vraiment très doux moments, intenses, cabines - propriétaires adorables - chaque activité est “pensée”! Parfaits souvenirs.
A totally fantastic spot with something to offer for everyone. Peace, quiet & views for mum & Dad, games room & pool for the kids. Lovely gite with everything that we could possibly need. (Lola loved the strawberries!)
Karting at Chateau d’Olonne was fun; zoo at Les Sables d’Olonne was great & not busy. Water Park looks like it will be good - but not open just yet.

A lovely place to stay with lots of room, a lovely pool and great views. It’s nice to be able to sit down outside enjoying a good beer or glass of wine. Great location close to the beaches etc.. but rural enough for some quality chill out time.

We have been coming to this gite since 2013 and despite the weather this year we have had a relaxing holiday. Annette & Jason are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble - any problems, just ask. We love The Vendée Region and this gite!!
We have booked again for 2 weeks next year. We have visited La Pergola Restaurant in l’Aiguillon-sur-Mer - excellent - booking is advisable and if you can tear yourself away, a visit to the Theme Park - Puy du Fou is well worth a visit, and for rainy days the Motor Museum is good.
Our 2 dogs love their visits to France and we keep them on leads to avoid any confrontation with the cats.
Thank you once again for making our holiday so enjoyable. See you next year.

We had a lovely time staying here, the facilities are amazing (especially for the children), the games room had all we needed and the size/depth/temperature of the pool was perfect for the children. In terms of places to visit, we loved the beaches at La Tranche and Les Conches; La Rochelle and the aquarium is a good day out; we very much enjoyed the new O’Gliss Water Park (tip - get one of the clusters of 4 sun beds with a sun cover!)

What can we say? Another wonderful relaxing stay with great hosts and new friends made in Chris & Emily. Many happy hours by the pool and out and about in La Rochelle and La Tranche ☀️and lovely evenings, laughs over a few drinks and beautiful comfortable surroundings. What a fantastic holiday! We had lovely weather which meant the children made use of the fabulous pool every day. Great facilities for the kids which meant we had a relaxing holiday too!
Annette & Jason made us feel very welcome and are great hosts, although far too many late nights & too much wine drunk! 😋

We had a wonderful stay and your holiday homes at Maison Lairoux are beautiful. waking up in the morning to the beautiful view, the birds singing and the amazing sunshine was wonderful. The house was immaculately clean and very well presented. Annette & Jason made us all feel very welcome and were so helpful all week. Thank you!

Jason & Annette are so welcoming and hospitable - nothing is too much trouble. The house is so well equipped, the pool is fantastic and the table tennis and games room is superb. Everything you need!
Puy du Fou is a ‘must’ - an absolutely brilliant day out; Port Bourgenay is great too - Wednesday is market day/night so lots to see and do. A very relaxing 2 weeks, despite too much cheese & wine.
Thanks so much - we’ll be back …… again!

Our first visit and what an amazing place. Our boys 13 & 9 yrs especially loved the pool, games room & gym and have asked if we can live here! Really nice beach at Les Conches & had a great time at the Indian Forest as well as a visit to La Rochelle.
Great hospitality from Jason & Annette, and gutted that we have to leave a day early due to our ferry being cancelled!

We also loved the beach at Les Conches, the holiday atmosphere at La Tranche, The Water Park (O’Gliss) and the Ile de Ré. The l’Aubraie restaurant has a lovely riverside setting - nice for a meal. We are already looking forward to coming back in August 2018!

As a family with two teenagers we all had such a memorable holiday here. Jason and Annette helped us plan each day and had never ending suggestions for us to visit! I recommend visiting Puy du Fou sometime during your stay - an experience that’ll stay with me for a long time.
We also spent a day exploring the island of Ile de Ré just off the coast of La Rochelle and another rock hopping in the Val de Yon. It was always lovely to relax in the pool after a long day in the sun. Thanks for the memories, Maison Lairoux. (Also, the cats are the best)
