We were made to feel very welcome by our charming hosts. It is a well-equipped Gite with a cosy fire (which was welcome in the freezing fog!). Great equipment in the Gite - everything one needs for a great holiday.
A must see is the wave cut platform around Sables d'Olonne - a great beach for dog walking.

Very nice gite - one of the best we know. We felt very welcome by our hosts Annette & Jason. We looked for a very calm holiday and found it here.
An absolute 'Must-See' is La Rochelle with its Aquarium, the Market Hall and the Old Port.

Our 5th visit here! Just love our winter breaks here. This time visited L'Ardoise Gourmande in Luçon for lunch - went twice - excellent.
Weather was perfect - even sat outside to read my book (17 Degrees C).
Great hospitality as usual from Annette & Jason.

What a wonderful gite; everything needed for a great break. Excellent accommodation, everything from a wonderful, welcoming host couple (Jason & Annette).
The gardens were very welcoming for Poppy (our 4 legged friend).
We will certainly return. If we needed help with anything Annette & Jason were always there to help.

We have just enjoyed a glorious week here. What a lovely spot. The gite is just perfect with great facilities, beautifully appointed, heated swimming pool - what more could you want?
The gite enjoys a great position overlooking the Marais which is teeming with wildlife. We saw storks perched on their nest, swans & a couple of coypu swimming, which we will have to admit to thinking they were beavers! We heard the elusive hoopoes and golden orioles, but sadly did not see either.
We brought our bikes with us and this is lovely cycling country. The beaches at L’Aiguillon & La Faute sur Mer are great. How the week has flown & we hope to return before too long. Thanks Annette & Jason for a great stay.

We had a great holiday here. The house is extremely well kitted out with everything we needed and more. Lovely pool area, garden & well-stocked games room. There is lots to do in the area. We spent 2 days at Puy du Fou & still didn’t see all of it. Would highly recommend ‘Les Orgues du Feu’ (Evening show at Puy du Fou). We also visited Le Chateau des Adventurers and the Indian Forest Park (2 days). We hope to return to Maison Lairoux.

We visited the reserve (on the Marais Communal) and were lucky enough to see a coypu as well as the numerous birds. Thank you for the wine & chocolates which we much enjoyed!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks this year. Annette & Jason are really superb hosts - nothing is too much trouble. The gite is so comfortable - a real home from home.
We had a very hot first week (38/39 degrees!) and the second week was normal weather (28 degrees!) for the first part of the week, then today - 30th June - only 19 degrees - such a contrast in temp. The pool was extremely warm and Jason & Annette keep it very clean.
The gardens are lovely, as are the views. A visit to the bird hide (not far by car) is a must - to see the birds - especially the storks where they nest so high up.
We are booked to come again next year! Thank you Annette & Jason for making us so welcome.

We have had such an amazing time here. Your gite is lovely and the views and peace is wonderful. Both our boys have loved exploring, playing in the garden and the pool (especially the inflatables!). There is so much to see and do here – we would recommend the beaches at La Tranche and La Faute, plus the Château des Aventuriers was great fun. Il de Ré is also a ‘must see’. We have thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks this year. Annette & Jason are really superb hosts - nothing is too much trouble. The gite is so comfortable - a real home from home. We have returned for the 6th time - this time for 2 weeks. It’s been very peaceful as the house opposite (Le Vieux Café) was unoccupied. We have had a thoroughly good time. Watched fireworks from afar on the 14th July, then had a couple of storms - one we watched with our hosts. Annette & Jason laid on a lovely BBQ and the next night we went to Le Teq Bowling.
We have been boating at Apremont and also at the Embarcarderie de l’Abbaye at Maillezais. Kids have been paddle boarding at St Benoist sur Mer. Tried the Chocolate Museum at La Roche sur Yon - yummy.

After a days travel we were greeted by a warm welcome from Jason and Annette and this continued for the week, nothing is too much trouble. Maison Lairoux is the perfect place to unwind even with small children. Our favourite days were relaxing or playing with the girls in the pool, having dinner on the terrace, then a cool beer as the sunset.
Nearby Luçon is a lovely town - we particularly liked the Jardin Dumaine. Another highlight is the Ile de Re, we spent the day there combining lunch at Saint Martin and the afternoon on the beach.
We have had another fab week here at L’Ecurie. It really is a great family gite in a perfect location. Thank you - we look forward to returning.

We loved visiting La Rochelle and Les Conches. Les Conches is great for body boarding. La Tranche is great because of the shops and the best places for souvenirs. We recommend a restaurant called L’Aubraie.
The swimming pool is amazing as you don’t have to share with hundreds of people. The games room was also really fun and kept us all entertained.

Another wonderful relaxing holiday here, with kind and helpful hosts who we now see as friends – Jason and Annette, and always on hand with advice, ideas for days out, chats and of course a good laugh and a few drinks (!) in the evening.
As usual we loved being here in the peaceful, beautiful surroundings so much with the lovely pool that we had to force ourselves to venture out, but we did have great times in La Rochelle, The Water Park, La Tranche and Puy du Fou (eventually!!).

Great week staying at Maison Lairoux. Excellent range of facilities in and out of the house. The pool & playroom were a great hit with the children too. We’ve enjoyed the beaches and other local amenities.

We’ve had a wonderful week at L’Ecurie with lovely hosts. It’s nice to have the hosts on site to help and assist us!
Favourite places – Les Conches beach – a must for bodyboarding with the kids, La Faute sur Mer, La Tranche sur Mer. We haven’t done half as much as we wanted! Oh and Puy du Fou - Fab.

Annette & Jason have been so helpful, sadly we had to cut our holiday short as our old dog, Molly, hurt her leg. Annette made an appointment at the vets for us (who were very kind and gentle with Molly). We love the gite and will be back hopefully for the full holiday next time!!

What a wonderful place! Definitely the best equipped holiday home that we have stayed in. Jason & Annette are excellent hosts and made us all feel very welcome.
We recommend La Tranche sur Mer for the beach, but the pool here is also very good. Hope to return before too long.

A very relaxing break. So quiet and peaceful. Gite is very well equipped, we slept like babies. Annette and Jason could not have been better hosts.
The weather for mid-October was wonderful, did not have to use coats all week. We got to the coast and saw the wonderful beaches - something we don’t get to do often. David had Fruits de Mer - which he loves. All restaurants we visited were superb. If you like Asian (Chinese) food, try the Gourmet d’Asie in Luçon - buffet style as much as you can eat and very good value.

Our 6th visit - Wow!! We love our out of season visits here at L’curie. Great gite, lovely location & superb hosts. Annette & Jason were so accommodating when Condor Ferries had problems with boats and we needed to come a day early.
Great area to stock up on the Vendeen wines of ‘Mourat’ which we love. Also very interesting wine shop at Le Mageau. Great restaurants - our favourite being the Auberge de la Court d’Aron, Ardoise Gourmande in Lucon and Le Central at Coulon.

Annette & Jason gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived and the gite was very warm & welcoming. We have had a wonderful Christmas with Annette & Jason - lovely food and they are superb hosts - nothing is too much trouble and they are always willing to offer advice on where to go in the area. we have been coming here now for 5 years and we love it as the gite has everything you need to be comfortable and if it’s a bit nippy, the woodturner is brilliant (easy to light and gives out a lot of heat).
We are looking forward to our summer visit in July.
